CLMS / DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE

Custom power tool accessories from your idea

A custom attachment, guide or mount for demanding work. We design and make accessories for your power tool or machine, including upgrades to basic original parts. Describe what the accessory should do. We agree the design, material, fit and price with you.

Tell us what you need. We will propose a scope of work and a quote. No technical drawing is required to get started, and an enquiry does not commit you to an order.

EQUIPMENT FOR YOUR WORK

From a workshop need to a finished attachment

Choose an application to see design options and what we need for a quote. We work with individuals, workshops, installers and tool repair businesses.

Your task matters more than the part name

Not sure whether you need an attachment, mount or jig? Show us what you do and what gets in the way. We work with contractors, installers, repair businesses and manufacturers, including individual workstation improvements.

Drills and rotary hammers

Workpiece positioning, stops and fixtures for a recurring task.

Saws and cutting tools

Material support, positioning and workholding for a specific operation.

Grinders and finishing operations

A fixture to hold or position the workpiece.

Routers and other workstations

Base plates, templates, guides, mounts and small mechanical assemblies.

We assess each request against the specific model and operation. Examples do not imply universal compatibility. We do not design bypasses for guards or protective functions.

MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTION

Materials chosen for the job.

A rigid plate, a smooth-running slide and a secure clamp need different properties. We combine metals, engineering plastics and flexible elements within one design. These are examples; we specify other materials when the project requires them.

01

Aluminium and metal components

Structure, base plates and mounts

CNC-machined aluminium is used for plates, router bases and housings. Steel and stainless steel complement the assembly where joints or operating conditions call for them. We specify the alloy, thickness, machining process and finish.

02

PE500, PE1000 and PTFE

Sliding pads and replaceable wear surfaces

PE500 and PE1000 are options for slide strips, supports and wear pads. PTFE can suit specific friction or chemical-resistance requirements. Selection also takes contact pressure and temperature into account.

03

POM, PA6 and PET

Bushings, carriages and mechanical parts

Engineering plastics machined from sheet or rod provide fitted parts for mechanisms. Stiffness, wear, dimensional stability and moisture all matter when selecting a grade. You do not need to know the material code: selection is part of our design work.

04

Acrylic PMMA and polycarbonate PC

Transparent templates and plates

A transparent plate helps keep layout marks and the work area visible. PMMA and PC differ in impact and scratch resistance. We select the grade and thickness for the fixing method and intended use.

05

Polyurethane, rubber and TPU

Clamping pads, stops and flexible inserts

Flexible components can improve grip, separate hard surfaces or cushion end stops. Hardness and shape are selected for clamping force, the workpiece surface and exposure to oils or coolants.

06

Fasteners and assembly components

Steel screws, bushings, knobs and adjustment

The design also covers steel or stainless fasteners, threaded inserts, knobs, bearings and bushings. Brass and bronze are options for suitable applications. We plan access for adjustment, assembly and part replacement.

The quote specifies grade, thickness and manufacturing method. You can request a material or leave the selection to us.

From enquiry to finished part

  1. Describe the task

Tell us the equipment model and what the new part should do. We identify the measurements needed.

  2. Scope and quote

You receive a proposed approach, design scope and quote. Work starts after approval.

  3. Design and fit

We create the CAD design. Any prototype or tool fit check is included in the agreed scope.

  4. Manufacture

We machine and assemble the parts to the design. 3D printing supports prototypes and suitable finished parts; engraving adds labels or scales.

DESIGNED AROUND YOUR MODEL

Custom accessories for Makita, Bosch, DeWalt and other power tools

Tell us the brand and model of your saw, rotary hammer, drill, grinder, router or other equipment. Describe the task: supporting material, positioning a workpiece, repeating a hole pattern or mounting a tool to a workstation. We will establish the mounting and design scope.

Selecting a brand fills it into the form. You can also type any manufacturer. Fit is confirmed for the specific equipment version and mounting arrangement.

CLMS is an independent workshop. Examples describe bespoke projects, not stocked parts or manufacturer-approved accessories.

HELP US DEVELOP NEW ACCESSORIES

Selected prototypes
on us

Have an idea that other tool users could benefit from? We select new projects for our development programme. Once a request is approved, we design and make one trial prototype with no design or manufacturing charge.

Submit an idea for the programme ↗

How does the programme work?

  1. Describe the need

We look for solutions that are new to CLMS and address recurring problems. We assess usefulness, feasibility, safe use and development effort.

  2. We confirm selection and scope

We agree on one trial piece, timing, checks and revisions before work starts. An enquiry does not guarantee selection. For other projects, we can quote for paid design and manufacture.

  3. Check the fit with us

You provide available photos, measurements and feedback from agreed trials, helping us develop the accessory around real working conditions.

Costs, delivery and revisions

Design and manufacture of the approved prototype: PLN 0. Any shipping costs for the part or tool are agreed in advance. Additional copies and changes outside the agreed scope are quoted separately. Arrange any shipment to the workshop with us first. Publishing your personal details or image is not a condition of participation.

Choose a topic, describe your need and leave your contact details. Fields marked * are required.

01 What would you like to improve?

Choose the closest topic. If unsure, choose “Something else”. *

02 Which equipment is it for?

Leave the brand or model blank if you do not know it. A photo of the tool and its model label can help.

Show the whole tool, the problem area and, if useful, the model label. Up to 3 JPG, PNG, WebP or PDF files, 5 MB each. Images up to 20 MP. Please avoid documents containing personal details.

Add a few more details optional: availability, timing, budget

The budget is for the complete solution, including design if needed. It helps the discussion; it is not a quoted price. Requested timing needs confirmation.

    03 Where can we reply?

We use your contact details to reply. You are not subscribing to a newsletter. This is not an order or a confirmation that the item can be made.

Your message and files are available to CLMS staff and are not published. Submissions also help us identify recurring needs. They are kept in the panel for 180 days. Privacy policy.

We will discuss feasibility and price first. You decide whether to proceed.

    Before you send an enquiry

Can you design an accessory for my power tool?

Tell us the model and what the accessory should do: set a cutting length, locate holes, hold a workpiece or connect equipment to a workstation. We check the mounting requirements. You can request a new fixture or an upgrade to an original part.

Do I need a technical drawing?

No. A description and a photo, if available, are enough to start. We will explain what to measure. If we need the original part or tool for manufacturing measurements, we will arrange that with you.

How much do design and manufacture cost?

Price depends on the design, materials, number of parts and any trials required. Our quote sets out the design and manufacturing scope. We can also price repeat copies of the same part. The enquiry is free; work begins after the price and terms are agreed.

    Can I order just one?

Yes. We take on one-off parts, prototypes and small batches for individuals and businesses. Quantity and timing are agreed with the quote.

    Can I specify the material?

Yes. You can request a material or leave the selection to us. We consider metals, engineering plastics and elastomers, including options beyond the examples on this page. Grade and manufacturing method follow loads, friction, temperature and operating conditions.

When is the first prototype free?

When CLMS selects a new project for the programme and confirms its scope. The programme covers design and manufacture of one trial piece. Testing, revisions, timing and any delivery arrangements are agreed before work starts. Submitting an enquiry does not guarantee selection.
